With the start of fall, it is a good time to reflect on the world around on our San Francisco Food Tours. Recently, it looks like every time that we look around another us, we see another piece of bad news. From international incidents to hurricanes to earthquakes, sometimes turning the news on can be depressing. And it seems like one things come after another. The question for most of us is how do we handle the onslaught. The short answer is to sometimes take a breath, so to speak, and to put things into perspective. While we can and will do everything that we can to help others and send everyone our best wishes, the challenge is not to get overwhelmed by it all. Every time that we are on a San Francisco Food Tour, we see the best of things. On the news, we see do not always see that. The other thing is look around our own communities and see what is the best of our own communities, but also to see what we can do to make our communities better. It could be as simple as picking up trash, helping out at a local school, or raising money for the Red Cross to help them help others. When we do that we start to feel better about ourselves and the world around us. It is amazing how helping out others helps us to feel better. It does not have to major things, everything helps others and that in turn helps us to feel better.
