While we??re at home from our San Francisco Food Tour of North Beach\Little Italy and Chinatown, we??re doing lots of cooking

Usually, we??re able to go out and get a variety of foods.?? Right now, it??s more important to stay at home.???? Sometimes, I look in my refrigerator and see the same vegetables that I had the previous day.?? Frequently, I??ll try to take the same vegetable that I had the previous day and I want to make that doesn??t taste the same way as before.?? A great way to do is cook in a different way than I did before. For example, steaming most vegetables bring out a certain flavor.?? If I want to change up things a bit, I??ll saut? in a pan with some oil and herbs and the flavor come out very differently.?? Another way, roasting it in the oven can be really good, as many vegetables, such as cauliflower, brussels sprouts, and broccoli take on almost caramel taste.

While we??ll have a variety of foods on our San Francisco Food Tours, cooking the same foods in slightly different way, brings out a very different flavor.  Cooking with different oils, herbs, and things like soy sauce, sesame oil, or different vinegars is another to bring out different flavors.  Keep experimenting and you??ll come up with some great combination of flavors.
