On our San Francisco Food Tours, the food frequently changes based on the time of day.

On our San Francisco Food Tour of North Beach\Little and Chinatown, we find that everyone has a way to start the morning, but not always the same way. In North Beach\Little Italy, its usually a pastry and cappuccino. The pastry is usually something made fresh, just like the cappuccino. More often, it??s something light, rather than a heavy start to the day. Chinatown is similar in that it is usually something light, such as tea and a light breakfast. Frequently, it is something like congee, which is porridge made from rice. It??s actually pretty tasty by itself, however I like it with some kind of fresh fruit. On our San Francisco Food Tours, the food frequently changes based on the time of day. In the morning, it??s fun to add breakfast items. By the afternoon, we like to add afternoon treats, such as bruschetta in North Beach and moon cakes in Chinatown. And at night, a little wine is the best way to finish off the evening. While some things are based on the neighborhood that we??re in, some things are based on where we live. In California, we??re really into local and fresh food, so tend to eat locally and fresh regardless of time of day that it is. Though many people would think of doing because it is healthy, we do that just because it tastes good. The good news is that when it??s local and fresh, we don??t need to add much to it or on it. It??s tastes great just as it is. That??s just a California way of eating.
