It??s that authentic experience in a neighborhood that makes our tours special.
There is something special about enjoying our San Francisco Food Tour of North Beach\Little Italy and Chinatown with the sound of music wafting through the tour. Whether it??s a music festival or a street musician, it only enhances our San Francisco Food Tours. It??s even better when it everyone feels like they are part of neighborhood. In Chinatown, we came across an impromptu concert with Chinese instruments. From the Chinese Harp to the Erhu (similar to Chinse banjo), it made us all feel like we were part of the neighborhood. When they asked everyone to join us and then showed how to use the musical instruments, it made it an incredibly special experience.
It??s that authentic experience in a neighborhood that makes our tours special. Being from the neighborhood, we get to participate in things that us feel like we are really part of the neighborhood. Music definitely helps make us feel like we are part of the neighborhood. Places with a neighborhood feel help, as well.
So, what makes a neighborhood place? It??s a place where locals hang out and everyone knows everyone else. The food and the music seem to compliment that neighborhood feeling. As soon you walk in the door, you can tell that it??s part of the neighborhood, they don??t need to tell anyone, you know as soon as you walk in the place. It??s the reason that we like to stop into those kids of places on our tour. It??s makes us become part of the neighborhood.
