It??s interesting how everyone has different tolerances for spicy food.

For example, on our San Francisco Food Tour of Chinatown, one of our stops makes Ginger Duck Soup. We don??t usually have on the tour, unless someone requests s it. To say that is hot and spicy is a major understatement. And yet, for the people at the restaurant who eat it every day, they are totally okay with it. On our San Francisco Food Tours, we see people from all over the world, many come from places with spicy food and they are used to that kind of food. Many are from areas like California, where our food is not that spicy. The one that share in common is our enjoyment of fresh food. We??re kind of unique here, in that thanks to our climate, we can and do grow just about everything here. For example, the hotter the inside of the state gets, the colder that we get. It just pulls the fog or marine layer right off the ocean. And yet, thirty miles away can be easily be thirty degrees hotter. The result is that right along the coast is perfect for things like artichokes and the inland area will be thirty degrees hotter, so can grow all kinds of fresh food there.
