It??s been a weekend of celebrations in San Francisco.

We??re having a great time enjoying them on our San Francisco Food Tour of North Beach\Little Italy and Chinatown.????It??s always great when we one part of the city celebrates, the entire city celebrates.????On our San Francisco Food Tours, we see that on every one of our tours.????In a way, it??s a reflection of the city.????We??re a city that enjoys its diversity and it gets celebrated in each of neighborhoods, both through our celebrations, as well as our foods.

While we have particular neighborhoods, such as North Beach, which is primarily Italian or Chinatown, which is primarily Chinese, each neighborhood enjoys a variety of foods and cultures. We see in the way that we cook foods.????For example, this weekend I roasted some cauliflower along with fresh leeks, tomatoes, taro root and mango.????While many people might consider that to be a mixture of foods and cultures, we tend to think that as a mixture of foods that tastes good.???? At the same time, we all learned about these foods from our neighbors and friends, many of whom come from different cultures and backgrounds, however for us, they are simply friends.????????So, when we see our neighborhoods celebrate our city celebrations in each our neighborhoods, it is really a celebration of our friends.????It makes for a wonderful place to live.
