It??s always interesting how something as simple as walking can make you feel better.

If you do it with your dog, it seems to be even better. It??s usually the opposite of what you feel like doing.?? Sometimes, the more the stress, the more you feel like pulling the covers over your head and trying to hide out from the world.?? It can as simple as walking down the block, but that movement helps me to feel a little better.?? Maybe it??s the exercise, maybe it??s getting out of the house.?? Whatever it is, it seems to really help.?? I think that while holing up feels like the obvious thing to do, it just makes you feel like there is no way out.

We see that on our San Francisco Food Tour of North Beach\Little Italy and Chinatown.  People feel better when can walk, as opposed to being cooped up in a bus.  It??s like when I??m walking my dog, I??ll notice thing like a view of the sky, some new flower, or something that takes my mind off what is bothering me at the moments.  It??s something that surprises me, similar to when we see something new on our San Francisco Food Tours.  When at home, walking my dog, the surprise may not be as obvious, but if let myself be open to it, it takes mind off my current problems.  Walking a dog may be even more helpful, as dogs have a habit of wanting to have lots of attention.  I find that when I am giving my dog attention, it decreases my attention on other things.

During times when things seems difficult, take the time to take care of yourself.  Find what works for you and then do it, even when you don??t feel like doing it.  Once you start doing it, you??ll start to feel better.
