Halloween in always a fun time in San Francisco.

Halloween in always a fun time in San Francisco. Walking around on our San Francisco Food Tour of North Beach\Little Italy and Chinatown, we see all of the pumpkins all around the City. The great to look at for carving, however I think they are always more fun to eat. Pumpkin soup, roasted pumpkin, pumpkin risotto, they are all great ways to enjoy pumpkin. Just like other squash, all that needs are done is to peel them, scoop out the seeds, and they ready to be prepared for enjoying them. I like to start off by roasting pumpkin in the oven. I just cut it up into smaller pieces, putting them on a roasting pan in the oven. I like using a moderate heat, around 400 degrees. For 25-30 minutes, just until they get soft. At the point, if I??m making soup, I just puree it in the blender, then put it into a saucepan and add some spices, such as cinnamon, sage, nutmeg, and allspice. I like using some stock to thin it out to a soup, then finishing it off with a little cr?me. For roasted pumpkin, it ready to eat after some spices, such as cinnamon, sage, nutmeg, and allspice. If I??m making pumpkin risotto, I just puree the pumpkin, and make it as part of the risotto. On our San Francisco Food Tours, we are enjoying eating the foods that are in season. For every part of the year, we have a great time with the vegetables and foods of our season.
